new layout (well kinda...)

i just put up a header gemma ward (who is my favorite model) style. hope y'all like it. i am going to start doing some celeb style soon (probably starting tonight depending on how much i have to do at work and how much i procrastinate from doing my school work) so look out for that.

also if you happen to be reading this tell me what you would like to see more of in this blog!

FALL 2007 .part.deux. ($100-)

i have been having some trouble finding a cute gray over sized thick(ish) sweater. this one i found to be particularly adorable plus it's from victoria's secret and for some reason they make super comfy stuff so i figure this would be a nice pick. though there is and uber cute snap button with bow gray sweater at h&m which is even cuter though was not very comfy.

i have been having trouble finding a cute blouse to wear with a high waisted skirt and i feel like i have finally found that. also it is not too expensive (still not particularly cheap especially with shipping from europe). i would def recommend this top for anyone with a cute high waisted or pencil skirt that does not clash with it (as the one bellow probably would).

alright this is just an amazing, tdf, pencil skirt. i gotta say its one of the cutest pencil skirts i have ever hear and it's affordable. it really cannot get much better than this. a definite must have for this fall!

okay so this next pick is not best for fall i gotta say but once spring rolls around you better have this especially if you happen to have an 80s afternoon tea party to attend. speaking of which would be the most brilliant thing ever i mean tea sandwichs and the 80s. you cannot go wrong and this dress screams that so you obv can't go wrong with this dress either.

FALL 2007 .part.deux. ($100-$300)

i have yet to decide if i am attracted to the shorts or just the brilliant insanity of this picture, but in any way the right person could make these shorts amazing. so if you think that might be you i suggest getting them and sending me a picture so i can really fall in love with them.

155.00 at stars & infinite darkness

alright, it's official, mike & chris cannot do a jacket wrong. thanks to them i will probably starve myself for the rest of the year. i don't care if my dad told me "no starving yourself for clothes" it is soooo worth it. anyway i have been looking for a jacket/coat with the kind of hem on the bottom. also the bow is super cute and uh i just love everything about it.

ever since i stumbled upon the lola y maria website i have been in love. the clothes there are so adorable and not too pricey. also they are located right here in new york city so once i get some more money saved up i will definitely be heading their way. now this dress like the one above has the same beautiful hem at the bottom. also it has darling puff sleeves and i just adore the pockets. i am pretty sure it also unbuttons which makes it easy to change up the look. all-in-all this is mos def one of my top picks.

194.00 at lola y maria

okay so this is another one i am torn about. i think i just really need to see if on an actual person out and about to really decide how much i like it. i think overall it is cute i actually enjoy the ruffles but what i can't decided is whether or not it's over kill. i think the mannequin really tones it down since the white all sort of blends together.

i probably need to stop with the whole leopard print dress thing but i don't know why i am just really attracted to it. i think it's just be a fun dress to wear out and about this fall with a black pair of tights and cute heels or boots. it has a very funky but classic look to it which makes it great for many occasions.

FALL 2007 .part.deux. ($300-$500)

apparently for some reason i can not find any of the super cute 3.1 phillip lim stuff i have scene in some stores, but this is a pretty cute find. i really enjoy the colors though they are bland. it would definitely be good for nyc since everything here has a more bland tone. i just think its a nice comfy looking dress that you can easily dress up or dress down.

495.00 at standardstyle

okay so i saw this on the front page at pink mascara and it immediately caught my eye. i am not quite sure how huge of a fan i am of it but if you wear with the right accessories it could be brilliant. i gotta say though it would be a lot better with pockets. though what dress wouldn't? maybe i should just start sewing pockets into all my dresses. hmmph.

319.00 at pinkmascara

aw good ol' betsey johnson impresses me as usual with this adorable puff sleeve dress. though i am not sure how i feel about how much room on the top the embellishment takes up it is still darling. it's so simple yet exciting. it's definitely my top pick of these dresses.

FALL 2007 .part.deux. ($1000-$500)

alone this dress is eh. honestly i do not think it is worth it's price. i personally bought a much similar tank top version that i got at h&m for much much much cheaper so i really do not suggest getting this but in case you have tons of money you feel like blowing then be my guest but if thats the case definitely try doing up the whole outfit because the dress definitely looks hotter with the jacket, belt and tights.

550.00 at net-a-porter

well i am not sure quite how i feel about the dress. i am liking the cut of the dress but i am not sure about the patter. it is call mj print which only means one thing to me and as you probably guessed i can not resist any drug related clothing. you should see my collection of coke related shirts. anyway i am not promoting drugs by any means but i think they look pretty dope in fashion. pardon my pun.

so i have found it. THE leather hooded jacket from my dreams. it's purely GENIUS. it almost deserves it's own GENIUS post but i needed something else for this entry so it'll stay here. it's just so perfect. i love the buttons and the hood and the pockets and the hidden zipper and uh everything. plus the great philt wore it so you know it's fabulous. now if only it was more affordable.

GENIUS: "hemp" sweater

so now i did not think any designer could make "hemp" so classy and so fucking cool. i am just in love with this sweater. it is adorable i mean mary kate (or ashley?) wore it and she looked super fly in it, i mean really she always looks fly, so if she wears it it must be GENIUS! i think i have fallen in love with this sweater now if only i had the $$$$ for such brilliance. looks like i am really gonna have to start saving up because though my mom may kill me if she ever sees me wearing it but it is so worth it. by the way did i mention it's cashmere? because you can truly never go wrong with cashmere making this even more brilliant.

the same sweater (in different colors) can be found at aloharag for $2,450.00

news break: strand book totes

i have issues with brand names on clothing items/bags in general. i mean i get it its advertising and if you are selling clothing it's smart because if someone likes the shirt and sees it on someone else they know where they can get it. bands also have merch which i am a fan of because a lot of the shirts and stuff are pretty creative and awesome. now what i don't quite get is bookstores having merch. i mean sure it helps advertise, but why would people want to use such a plain bag with and ugly logo as a purse. okay so i will forgive you for using it as a book bag or such, but seriously if i see one more person uses a strand bookstore bag as a purse in this city i am gonna loose it. it's not even like you are being original and it serves no practical purpose since it has no pockets for various items so if say your phone rings you don't have to dig through the bag until whoops you miss the call. i just don't get the appeal. so please just stop it doesn't even make you look that smart, it just makes you look like a dumbass.

FALL 2007 ($100-)

shirtdresses though not the most covering can be really fabulous for the fall and winter seasons. this is really because it looks great with tights or leggings and you can show up your cute boots quite easily.

58.00 at urban

alright so zebra print has got to be the new leopard print and i love it. zebra print is a lot better too because the bland colors tone it down making it not as tacky. also as an owner of the pants on the right i highly recommend that you get em.

okay so i was on ontd on lj and boy did every hate philt's clothing line? i was quite upset especially since people were like amanda bynes is so much better so i looked up her clothing line and was dispointed because she has good style lately and all her clothes looked like ones i can find at walmart. even though i love walmart it is not a place for fashion. but back to philt's line i really love it. i went to the launch at kitson and i really loved this dress but unfortunately they were all out and i was like the 5th person in there. but yeah i think everyone should check out the line in general because its super cute and the jeans fit quite nicely.

about a year ago the skeleton shirt was very trendy with the scenesters because what's more hxc than bones???? well i did like it but i never gave in. now i am thinking about it because i feel like topshop is a little more couture than scene plus i love shirtdresses and this is certainly an awesome shirt dress.

FALL 2007 ($100-$300)

i just wanted to start off thanking shopbop for finally putting an awesome dress on a decent model. anyway even though this dress looks like a giant pj shirt i still LOVES IT! the sloppyness of this dress is spectacular and the pockets add such a nice touch. also red and purple are something not seen too often and i really like those colors together especially on this. A+ to juliana jabour for this fab design!

253.00 at shopbop

alright so i used to really want a leopard print hoodie. i mean i know it's kind of scene but paris wore one too. anyway i am unsure how i feel about it now but this one is cashmere and who can resist anything cashmere?

275.00 at kitson

so i love this leather bomber jacket trend yet it is so hard to find a good one. this is probably one of the best (and more importantly most affordable) i have found. i am still not so loving it and hope soon i can come across the perfect one.

newsbreak: uggs

i am interrupting my suggestions of awesome (and so far expensive) stuff you should buy to ask of you: WHY DO PEOPLE STILL WEAR UGGS? now i understand they are comfortable to wear and so feel free to wear them around your house as often and you please but for the love of god do NOT exit your front door with them on. i get that they were cool once i believe i was in 8th, 9th, maybe 10th grade at the time but now they are just tacky. they were hella ugly to begin with but whatever they made you "cool" so i will forgive you for that lapse of judgment but there are no more excuses now so please put them away it's just embarrassing.

FALL 2007 ($300-$500)

this first dress is just to die for. if i had a fancy something or other to go to i would need this dress. not only does it made plaid classy and is metallic but it has pockets. its a fucking cocktail dress with pockets. honestly could it get any better? well except for the price that is.

458.00 at shopbop

i am really do not like this model at all. actually most of the models on shopbop annoy me but her the most yet she is wearing the outfits i like most and it's bothering me. anyway i love rompers. this is a romper. also it has buttons so you can wear it open with something underneath like a long sleeve shirt or better yet long sleeve unitard. also it'd look night with tights which you will mos def need for the fall.

339.00 at shopbop

i love me some jeremy scott what i don't love is there being practically nowhere to find his designs. thankfully jeremy loves ksubi opened up a few more doors to find his stuff in. now here are two absolutely kick ass designs. i don't think denim gets much better than this ladies.

FALL 2007 ($500-$1000)

still these items are for the more high class but if you really desire any of them it will be easier to save up for these fabulous pieces.

though i am not yet sure how i like the front of this dress i adore the back. i actually feel that if the front and back were switched it would be so cute which looks as if it could be done by just simply moving the bow.

925.00 at saks

this dress does have a frumpy feel to it but i kind of like that. though it is somewhat reminiscent of a potato sack it seems to be one of those dresses that would just fall perfectly into place on most.

506.00 at shopbop

as i said the last entry i love this seasons mj shoes and these to me are the must have shoe of the season. i know i will be saving up my money to get me a pair of these.

FALL 2007 ($1000+)

only those who roll in dough or who save up their money for something special can really afford any of this (don't fret though since i will be posting much cheaper items). we all can dream though right so here are some things that i personally dream of owning:

though this coast may not be practical and is kind of tacky i just love it mostly because it reminds me of that outfit cher once wore in clueless that i have secretly always wanted to own.

i am sure from the last post you can tell how much i adore zac posen and honestly 90% of the time you cannot go wrong with him especially with this classic dress.

4,500.00 at eluxury

now i am not usually a huge fan of suits in any way, shape, or form but day-um this has got to be about the most adorable suit ever.

4,150.00 at neiman marcus

marc jacobs managed to make the perfect boot for this fall. i am not always the hugest fan of marc's shoes but this season i am obsessed with his shoes which you will notice in the next entry as well. they are just so perfect.

hosin' for posen

that phrase up in the subject line is probably my favorite of all of them because it pops into my mind every time i think of zac posen. i am very tempted to make my own house of holand esque tee with that on it. anyway enough of that ever since i saw that rachel bilson loved zac posen i have loved him too because except for that week rachel bilson wore overalls and spandex she has great style and i may be a little obsessed with her. also i kind of wanna be just like her so of course i was fascinated with posen. also when i was walking around bryant park celeb spotting and such the name on everyone's lips was zac posen. it was about the hottest show of the season and i can see why. i mean on craigs list tickets for it were selling for 1000+ it blew my mind. after now seeing it i completely understand why this show was so hot. most of the dresses were to die for. eve though some were a little flashy and out there they still managed to look classy, sophisticated, and elegant which is quite impressive for any designer.

now all the dresses in this entry are so beyond fabulous that i do not i think me or anyone can comprehend how breathtakingly amazing each design is. i swear i would sell my soul for any of these dresses any day.

i have talked a lot about poofy dresses in previous entries but i have to say unless to are going for a more flashy look zac posen definitely does it best. also what he does that i have not seen too much of is gorgeous floor length poofy dresses with just add a level of elegance to the whole show. all-in-all this collection would probably have to be my favorite of the season.

rock tha reem acra

reem acra was another one of those designer i had not heard of until looking through designers on nymag.com. my favorite thing about her spring 08 collection would probably be how frickin shiny it all is. also it made me like yellow and purple together and until thinking about it for a while it did not even remind of the lakers which being born and raised in la is very hard to do.

i think the cut of this dress is darling but would look much better with larger breasts which neither me nor most runway models have. for some strange reason i actually like how the belt blends into the dress and also my favorite thing about the belt is how there is no excess belt tucked in or hanging out because ugh i absolutely hate when belts do that.

now this dress or at least i think that's what it is i found particularly interesting. i really do not know if i love it or hate it all i know is i just cannot look away from it. most black dresses these days do not draw this much attention because usually black dresses are simple but this is so far from the norm which is probably why i am so attracted to it.

puffy sleeves always make happy as do sparkley dresses so this is easily one of my favorite pieces from acra's collection this season. if i was not too short to even think of wearing long dresses this would definitely be one of my must haves if i had ultimated money of course. i just think this dress is so fabulous.

supafly nicholai

i was quite impressed with nicholai by nicky hilton because as much as their were a few items from her chick collection i liked (one that i even bought) overall i was not really a fan. personally she should have just stuck the the more couture side of fashion because that she certainly does well.

this first dress is very nicky hilton to me. i am not sure why but it just looks like something i can easily see her in. i think this is an adorable evening dress but my one problem with it is the one sleeve. for some reason i am really ocd about it and there either needs to be two or none at all. it's really hard for me to get past but if that were to be fixed i think it'd be a great dress for an evening out.

you probably might've guessed that with my love for heatherette and betsy johnson comes a love for poofy dresses which is really why i adore this nicholai dress. its just so fun and makes a statement but is still sleek and elegant. i also am a fan of the empire waist. overall it's just a very cute dress.

miss sixty you must be worth a trillion bucks

ever since i was an elementary school student i liked miss sixty of course i still shopped at baby gap (i mean i probably could still fit into the clothes i just hate the gap) so that i could never fit into them. this show though really impressed me more then their usual clothes i see on the racks.

i think leotards are a great trend i am constantly on ebay trying to find cute vintage ones but that never really works out, but now miss sixty has released the most fabulous leotard i have ever seen. pair this up with high waisted shorts, pants, or skirt and you have an absolutely breathtaking outfit. mad props to miss sixty for this one.

in addition to loving leotards i am also a major fan of unitards which miss sixty also manages to do amazingly. though i have never been a huge fan of wearing things with a brands name on them i really do enjoy the font/style that was used on this. it still is a bit tacky so i am not sure it's a must have of mine. i really have mixed feelings on it but if you wear it with the right things it could definitely be a sweet look.

gold (in addition to pink and yellow) is my favorite color of the moment. i actually got into loving yellow because i loved gold so much. also as you know i love high waisted bottoms and i really love having pockets. somehow three of my favorite things were all combined to make this skirt. i really don't think i have ever been so in love with a skirt. there are no words to even explain how phenomenal this is.

pass the mj

now marc jacobs definitely put on one of the most talked about shows this season. every blog and fashion site that somewhat covered fashion week has written something about it and of course i am gonna be covering it as well. this show was beyond brilliant. i do think it would be a mistake to wear most of the designs out, runway wise it looked fabulous and certainly caught people by surprise which is always nice.

when i see the dress i immediately think: miss. hawaii. not the specific miss. hawaii, whoever that may be, but i think this dress would be perfect for a general miss. hawaii. i think i really get this idea from the sash but it just screams that to me. now with that said this is one of the few pieces of this collection that i could see being worn to an award show, premier, charity event, ect. i think that's a main reason i showed this design because as much as i loved the crazier outfits they just seemed too impractical.

this is another piece i am fond because not only is it practical but it also could be worn on the day to day which makes me feel like this design fits the marc by mj collection much better. now in any case because this is so cute and so wearable i kind of wish i could jump in the screen and yoink it but unfortunately technology has not gotten that far but one day i hope it will.

now we come to the more insane side of things. i really do absolutely love these two designs but if anyone dare try to pull them off well i hope they work it well because it has the potential to be disastrous otherwise. now the one thing i actually hope catches on (more for fall/winter though) is the gloves. i actually love gloves especially long ones but they are so hard to find things to wear with but marc did a great job at matching them up perfectly so i really hope to somehow pick up on his genius and be able to pull of wearing gloves like these.
